There are a variety of reasons that you may not be getting signal on your TV or other output device from your input via your Neo Matrix.

The most common causes of these are:

  • Physical Setup Issues
  • EDID related issues
  • Link Quality Issues
  • Faulty HDMI Cable
  • Faulty Hardware

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps:

Carry out the following instructions while checking your output device after each step to see if the signal issue resolves..

1.Ensure that your physical connections and setup are what you expect. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Making sure that your HDMI cable plugs into the correct HDMI port on your output device
  • Checking your connections in the back of the matrix are as expected
  • Ensuring that HDMI and HDBaseT connections are connected to your receiver and pushed in securely
  • Checking that your input device is turned on and outputting video and audio
  • Ensure that you have observed HDBaseT Cabling Best Practices as listed here: (https://assets.aten.com/product/banner/ATEN_HDBaseT_InstallationGuide20180816_V3.pdf)

2.Check your EDID formats are supported on all devices

a support article explaining how to do that can be found here: (https://support.pulse-eight.com/a/solutions/articles/30000052397)

3.Check the range of transmission of your matrix and receivers

a support article showing the ranges of transmission on our matrix and receivers can be found here: (https://support.pulse-eight.com/a/solutions/articles/30000052417Please ensure that you are checking both and using the lower transmission distance

4. Check the Link Quality Tests on your matrix to see the quality of your HDBaseT Cat Cable Transmission, if this is not within spec reterminate your HDBaseT cat cable, if this is still not in spec rerun your Cat Cable. Please keep in mind that you must use Cat5e or higher

5. Replace your HDMI cable to your output device

6. Swap your HDBaseT Receiver with a known working HDBaseT receiver if possible

7. Swap the port on the matrix and see if this works on a different port

8. Swap the HDMI input to a new port on your output device if possible
