For a list of currently supported switches and specific configuration guides for these switches please see the product page and click the resources tab: https://www.pulse-eight.com/p/246/oneip-tz
Please be aware that OneIP requires a 1Gb ethernet managed network and the switch must be able to supply PoE if you are not using OneIP power supplies.
For multi-switch setups there must be connections between the switches with enough bandwidth to support the required transmission, for example if you have 10 OneIPs on Network Switch A and they are all receiving a signal from Network Switch B the link between them must support at least 10Gb bandwidth.
Below are the standard settings that you should have on your network switch in order to send media via OneIP.
This list is generalised and your network switch may require additional settings, may refer to these settings under different names and may have these settings in different places than other Network Switches.
(Please refer to your Network Switch's User Manual for information on how to input these settings.)
- IGMP Snooping Status must be enabled
- IGMP Querier Status must be enabled
- IGMP Querier should be set to your core network switch
- Fast Leave should be enabled except on non-endpoint ports (inter switch links)
- Unregistered Multicast Behaviour must be set to "Drop" or "Filter"
- Multicast Report Suppression can be enabled as an optimisation on multi switch setups
For information on how to implement these on your switch or if these do not work for the network switch you are using please see your network switch's documentation, contact your network switch manufacturer or have your network switch manufacturer contact us.
