ProAudio — Configuring Digital Zones

Modified on Sat, 25 Apr at 12:32 AM

Digital zones on the ProAudio provide digital audio outputs in addition to the analogue stereo zones. They are configured separately from stereo zones using the Digital Zones tab in the Config Tool.

Accessing Digital Zone Settings

1
Open the Config Tool and connect to your ProAudio unit.
2
Click the Digital Zones tab. Up to 16 digital zones are shown depending on your ProAudio model.

Digital Zone Controls

Each digital zone has three controls:

ControlDescription
MuteMutes or unmutes the digital output for this zone. Click the speaker icon button to toggle mute state.
InputSelects the audio source routed to this digital output. Default is None. Click to select from available inputs.
Audio RoutingControls how this digital zone follows audio routing changes. Default is Independent Zone, meaning this digital zone operates independently and must be set manually. Other options allow the digital zone to follow a corresponding stereo zone.

Configuring a Digital Zone

1
For each active digital output, click the Input field and select the audio source you want routed to this digital output.
2
Set the Audio Routing dropdown. If this digital output should mirror a stereo zone (following the same source switching), select the corresponding stereo zone from the dropdown. If it should be controlled independently, leave it as Independent Zone.
3
Check the Mute status for each zone. Ensure zones that should be active are not muted.
4
In the sidebar, tick Zone source, output mappings + power state and click Save Selected.
Digital zones do not have volume, EQ, or gain controls — these are found only on stereo (analogue) zones. If you need per-zone volume control, use a stereo zone output or mirror the stereo zone instead.
