OneIP is Pulse-Eight's AV-over-IP distribution system. All OneIP devices connect over a standard 1GbE network switch and distribute 4K60Hz 4:4:4 video at up to 850 Mbit/s. This article describes each product in the range and when to specify each one.
All OneIP devices include a web interface, automatic EDID management, bidirectional IR, full CEC control, and remote monitoring portal access. They are compatible with third-party control systems via available drivers. All require Cat5e or better cabling.

Product Profiles
OneIP Transmitter
P8-ONEIP-1G-4K-TX | 25 × 15.5 × 3cm | 0.6kg
A dedicated transmitter — takes a single HDMI source and sends it onto the OneIP network. Single network port (PoE+ capable). No HDMI output, no ethernet passthrough, no audio breakout. The simplest and most compact transmit-only device in the range. Use where a source device needs to enter the OneIP network and nothing else is required at that end point.
Power: PoE+ or 12V DC | No ethernet passthrough | Kit includes: 1x Transmitter, 1x Quick Start Guide
OneIP Receiver
P8-ONEIP-1G-4K-RX | 25 × 15.5 × 3cm | 0.6kg
A dedicated receiver — takes a stream from the OneIP network and outputs it to a display via HDMI. Includes an optical audio output (TOSLINK) for audio breakout to an amplifier or audio system. Single PoE+ network port. No ethernet passthrough. Use where a display endpoint is needed and no source is required at that location.
Power: PoE+ or 12V DC | 1x Optical audio output | No ethernet passthrough | Kit includes: 1x Receiver, 1x Phoenix Connector, 1x Quick Start Guide
OneIP Transceiver
P8-ONEIP-1G-4K-TZ | 25 × 15.5 × 3cm | 0.6kg
The most flexible device in the range. Operates as a transmitter, receiver, or transceiver (both simultaneously) — configurable via the web interface. Has both HDMI in and HDMI out, a second ethernet port for device passthrough to a local network device, and an optical audio output. Two RJ45 ports (one PoE+). This is the primary device for mixed source/display endpoints and for installations where flexibility is valued over lowest cost.
Power: PoE+ or 12V DC | 1x Optical audio output | Ethernet passthrough (2nd RJ45) | Kit includes: 1x Transceiver, 1x Phoenix Connector, 1x Quick Start Guide
OneIP Pro Transceiver
P8-ONEIP-1G-4K-TZ-SF | 27 × 15.5 × 3.3cm | 0.6kg
The high-specification transceiver. Adds analogue audio I/O (stereo L/R in and out alongside optical), a 12V trigger output, and an SFP port for fibre network connectivity alongside the two RJ45 ports. The SFP port is 1G and supports standard SFP modules — suitable for long-distance fibre runs between buildings or across infrastructure where copper is unsuitable. Specify where analogue audio integration, trigger control, or fibre connectivity is required at the endpoint.
Power: PoE+ or 12V DC | Optical + Stereo L/R audio in and out | 12V trigger output | SFP port (1G) | Ethernet passthrough | Kit includes: 1x Pro Transceiver, 1x Phoenix Connector, 1x Quick Start Guide
OneIP Multiviewer
P8-ONEIP-MLTV | 154.5 × 44 × 440mm (1U half-rack) | 1.1kg
A specialised transmitter that accepts up to four HDMI sources simultaneously and outputs them to a single display in a configurable multiview layout — picture-in-picture, quad split, or single full-screen. Multiple layout options are available. Also has a looped HDMI input and output for pass-through of a fifth source. Transmits all sources onto the OneIP network simultaneously. CEC is supported when connected to OneIP sources. DC power only — no PoE+. Specify for monitoring stations, commissioning views, or any application where multiple sources need to be viewed simultaneously on a single display.
Power: 12V DC only (PSU included) — no PoE+ | 4x HDMI 2.0 inputs + 1x looped | 1x HDMI looped output | 8 layout options | Kit includes: 1x Multiviewer, 1x Link cable, 1x 12V PSU, 1x Quick Start Guide
Choosing Between Transmitter, Receiver and Transceiver
The Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) are cost-optimised single-function devices. The Transceiver (TZ) costs more but does either job — and both simultaneously if needed. The practical guidance is:
- Use the Transmitter where a source endpoint will never need to display anything locally and ethernet passthrough is not required.
- Use the Receiver where a display endpoint will never need a local source and ethernet passthrough is not required.
- Use the Transceiver where an endpoint needs both HDMI in and out, where the mode may change, where ethernet passthrough to a local device is needed, or where future flexibility is required.
- Use the Pro Transceiver where analogue audio I/O, a 12V trigger, or fibre network connectivity is required.
The Multiviewer is DC power only. Unlike all other OneIP devices, the Multiviewer cannot be powered by PoE+ and requires its own 12V DC power supply (included). Plan rack power accordingly.
