Modified on Fri, 3 Oct at 6:48 PM

For this guide you will need to download out ProAudio Config Tool available to registered installers at:

https://monitoring.pulse-eight.com/Downloads/ProAudioConfigTool

Open the ProAudio Config Tool and select the ProAudio you are working on, in some instances you may need to enter the current IP Address in the Connect by IP Address section at the bottom of the page.

Once you have connected select the zone you are setting the Subwoofer on and click the icon in the image below

For this example I am setting this on Zone 1.

You will now see dropdown menu's where you can set the Filter Type and Filter Frequency for this output

Under Filter Type you will have the options below

If these don't make sense, that's fine. Use 24dB / Octave Low Pass Filter  for the subwoofer zone and 24dB / Octave High Pass Filter for the main stereo speakers zone. The 12dB / 24dB is the sharpness of the filter, how fast it cuts off high or low frequencies. Experimenting with this setting and listening for what sound best, cannot hurt anything.

Under Filter Frequency you are able to setup your Crossover Frequency

Experimenting with this setting and listening for what sounds best, is encouraged. Both the main speakers and the subwoofer should be set to the same frequency. When going up in frequency, this setting indicates the frequency the subwoofer stops working and the main speakers take over. This value is usually between 100Hz and 150Hz, but we allow values between 50 and 300Hz.

Note: Changes to this command should be backed up in case of power failure by sending the "SS" command:

To do this on the menu on the right toggle the box for "Zone Audio Parameters" and then click "Save Selected"

You should see the Command History update with ^SS 512$ and ^+$ to show this was successful
